Hand-made Unisex Himachali Pulla footwear

A staple in every Himachali wardrobe, It is a handcrafted, most popularly in upper reaches of Inner and Outer-Seraj in the Jalori and Bashleo pass regions in Himachal. Pullans are grass shoes which are used as footwear. Grass has been Twisted into a rope and then topped it with a Wool thread upper. This footwear is made out of fibers procured from the bark of a wild bush, Bhang (Hemp fiber). The upper portion of pullan is made of sheep wool and is decorated with colourful designs using threads while the bottom of footwear is made of Bang fiber. These Shoes are considerd lightweight and warm & are preferred for accupressure effects. You can use them as slip ons for the house.

    I ordered a pair for my mother, its an absolutely perfect size for her and the colours are so bright and joyful. The sole is made of jute that makes it great to wear indoors and also provides acupressure. It’s all natural material and fits snug. She is loving it for sure.
